One of the most memorable moments from emceeing at the Emerging Themes in Behavioral Health Conference was introducing Dr. David Olawuyi Fakunle, Ph.D.—who played the djembe as I read his biography. It was a powerful way to set the tone for his inspiring talk on storytelling as a force for healing and liberation.

Dr. Fakunle is a “mercenary for change,” blending public health, arts, and culture to address systemic oppression and strengthen communities. He’s an Assistant Professor at Morgan State University, Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida, and Associate Faculty at Johns Hopkins.

The conference, held at the UCLA Rifkin Conference Center, brought together top experts in mental and behavioral health from across the U.S. for two incredible days of connection and learning focused on improving mental health outcomes nationwide.

This moment also set a new standard for me: whenever I am on stage, I will explore how to bring in live elements that make the experience even more engaging and meaningful. 🤩

It’s been a difficult start to 2025 for those of us in Southern California.

However, we did have the opportunity to do a presentation at the @uscmarshall School of Business recently. We are welcoming interns to join us at @pruvn_ and possibly become part of our team. As it appears we are going to be growing very rapidly this year.

The demand for longevity and wellness companies to differentiate themselves in a very crowded market by proving the efficaciousness of their solution is going to be transformative for our industry.

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for reaching out during the #LAfires.

It’s taken me 10 days to process the extent of what has happened and be able to communicate that in a video. I also have a lot more I could say. Especially about the rumors, personal attacks and conspiracies that have been happening online, but seem in very poor taste to me during the middle of a crisis.

I believe this is a moment to show compassion for your fellow humans and practice equanimity in your own life.

We should also examine what prevention could have and still needs to be done. However fire is part of this ecosystem in this region and for all our technology we cannot change that just as we cannot halt a hurricane.

This is just another reminder to stay safe and be grateful for what you have when you have it, because your reality could change in a single moment ♥️

We had a family of wild bobcats come into our yard. The dad was hunting the squirrels in our massive oak while mom watched the three cubs (so 5 total).

They are very cute and stunning creatures - yes but they also are viscous hunters. It’s concerning for the local pets not to mention the squirrels and other small game they will need to eat to survive.

Nature is beautiful but also cruel. Life eats life. I tried to remove myself from the cycle of Samsara but being vegetarian but I got very sick as a result. This was a lesson on how we as humans are part of the cycle of life and death and we can pretend to be outside of it at our own peril.

It’s been a wonderful year filled with growth, gratitude and community.

December started with a trip to Las Vegas for two events where I got to see some amazing people before the holidays.

Wishing everyone reading this joy and peace this holiday season and may 2025 be a year where our world becomes more humane and less divided.

Started off with the Newport Beach Investors Conference by @globalcapitalnetwork where I was the Master of Ceremonies for the Medtech portion of the program.

Then my friend @drasgharh invited me to join him at the “It’s A Wonderful Life Gala” benefiting @hopethroughhousing. They had 800 people in attendance to raise a million dollars to support affordable housing. 🏠

We were seated at the table with the Chairman, Jeffrey S. Burum and a member of the 2012 Mexican soccer team that won gold in that historical match🥇

Had a wonderful day at the one of the opening events for #LATechWeek - the @startupstarter.co Innovation Street Fair on Ocean Ave in Santa Monica.

Our booth ended up being next to @edyoutechnologies where one of the stars of the TV show that I’ve been watching called “The Mentalist” @owainyeoman is the COO.

Also was shocked to bump into @pruvn_ client Pedro Pablo who was in town from Switzerland to launch @kaex.official at @earthbar and @equinox

I am so honored by how many speakers, brands and people we have coming to the Summit this weekend. 💫

This is the largest project I’ve ever taken on in my life. 😲

For years I dreamed of an event that would provide an experience that I felt was missing from every conference I attended. 💭

This was my criteria:

- The event couldn’t be in a convention center or hotel under artificial light, where attendees were breathing recirculated air and drinking water from plastic, ect.. How can we talk about health and not be living it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

- The venue had to connect the participants to nature and allow for them to move and breathe in nature during the breaks and whenever they needed to recharge 🌞

- Ticket prices had to be accessible as most longevity conferences are elite endeavors with tickets from $500-$5000 💸 (ours start at $79)

Our beloved ZeeMan crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.

This little 14 pound dog was a fighter who survived to 17 1/2 years of age despite being abandoned to the streets. He survived two years living under dumpsters and eating garbage.

When we rescued him 5 years ago we had no idea we would spend years, and tens of thousands of dollars, in surgeries and doctors offices to get him healthy.

Why spend so much effort on a senior dog? Love has no price or limit ❤️

In exchange he gave us joy every day he was with us. ZeeMan was a grateful joker who loved to greet each day with play and morning sun. He passionately enjoyed his food and to travel, visiting 26 states over multiple road trips.

Despite constantly being in pain from all of the different conditions he experienced he remained positive, loving and joyful.

Zeeman will forever be an inspiration to me on living a long life and how you practice longevity with humility and grace. 🐾

I’ve been predicting for the last 2 years that 2024 was the year that longevity would start to hit the mass market. 📈 Here is another signal that this prediction was correct. ✅

Seeing the scale of this facility and the massive investment it represents impressed me. 🤩

In my talks I have shared how the worlds of fitness 🏋🏻‍♂️,medicine 🩻, wellness 🧘🏾‍♀️ and biotechnology 👩🏻‍🔬 will merge into a new field - LONGEVITY.

That is exactly what they have done here. They even included a cafe and pickleball courts (that I did not predict 😄).

I will be watching very closely 👀 how @theofficiallove.life is accepted by the marketplace. They will need a large membership base to make this facility viable.

This is a distruptive venture as these industries I mentioned have been siloed up until now. Is the public ready to adopt an integrated model?

June 2024 was a month to remember 🤩

It all started with the Biohacking Conference in Dallas, TX. Great to see the success of @stemcellchristian and @stemregen as the main event sponsor 👏🏻. Was there with the @futureofhealthmedia team to do content 🎥

The next week we were at the @bellagio in Las Vegas, NV for the @ssrpinstitute Peptide World Congress 🧪. For a sell out gathering of the top cellular medicine doctors in the world 🌎

Then back to LA for a series of @startupstarter.co events part of #earlystagela 🚀

I’ve attended over 100 health, wellness, fitness and medical events over the last several years 💯.

It’s been 6 months since we publicly launched PRUVN. This week we announced the results from our first double-blinded placebo controlled clinical trial.

To go from conception to completion on a trial like this in six months is very fast. So proud of our @pruvn_ team and while the journey of a Founder/CEO is definitely not for the weak, I am grateful and humbled to have so much support from incredible people who are so passionate about our mission.

We had our first Longevity LA Social - “Healthy Conversations” at @osteostrongla last Sunday.

I spoke about how we are entering the decade of longevity as the next massive technological transformation of our global society.

Sarah, my co-host and organizer, spoke about her health journey and how Osteostrong has helped so many people to reclaim their personal health.
